I do love them though!Īirspun being a dupe for Laura Mercier. Many people raved about the Miss A sponges but they’re nowhere near the same texture/material. I’ve never found an exact dupe for beauty blenders. Tatcha was farrrr more hydrating for me, I think people just saw water in the names and tried to make fetch happen. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is nothing like Tatcha Water Cream imo, I see it claiming everywhere to be a dupe which I don’t get. Oh I have a few bad dupes, all my personal experience though.
I understand the ingredients wont always be identical, but I roll my eyes every time I see people say The Ordinary AHA/BHA Peeling Solution being compared to the Drunk Elephant Glycolic Night serum, when the products aren't even told to be used the same way. Most skincare "dupes" are easily disproven through an ingredient check.

The Rimmel one is as soft but it doesn't set on me and always transfers, though the UD doesn't. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil was always being compared to the Rimmel Scandaleye liners. While neither of those are bad, per se, they don't make my makeup last as long without breaking up the way the Smashbox one does. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer seems to have been attempted to be duped by the ELF Mineral Primer and The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream is really similar to the IT Cosmetics CC cream, as long as you can find a shade that works for you. The Milani Cheek Kiss cream blushes are really good dupes for the Tower 28 Cream Blushes.ĮLF Illuminating Palette is the closest I've found to the soft diffused look of the Hourglass Ambient Light Powders, but it isn't quite as soft. What are some dupes for high end products that gurus have claimed are good that you've found to actually be that way, and what are ones that you think totally miss the mark?
